SUMMARY :

The Reporting and Analytics Intern will join the Managed Networks organization, a team within American Tower Corporation that focuses on designing and deploying In-building communication solutions, to support a variety of functions related to operational analysis and reporting. The incumbent will work closely with the Managed Networks Senior Analyst and other team members to develop monthly reports and financial dashboards that will be used by the larger organization to track key metrics and milestones.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Leverage business intelligence capabilities to design andbuild reports that assist the organization in reviewing and analyzing data and markettrends.

  • Assist with the creation of monthly / quarterly budgetreports to monitor project performance to budgets.

  • Enhance operational reporting to track and monitor financialperformance against key budgetary metrics.

  • Deliver high quality financial information and analysis throughthe creation of visual presentations using summary tables, charts, Dashboardsand PowerPoint presentations.

  • Effectively communicate results and recommendations to theSenior Analyst through the creation and oral presentation of summary tables, reportsand Dashboards.

  • Review, evaluate, design, and implement existing and new reportsand analyses to support current business operations.

  • Support departmental needs for ad hoc reporting.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with reporting/Business Intelligence tools

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Energetic self-starter who is able to independently identifyand initiate improvement opportunities

  • Strong financial skills and experience with reportinganalytics

  • Ability to work with employees effectively andprofessionally

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including theability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multipletasks within the agreed upon timeframes

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Third or fourth year student pursing a major in ComputerScience, Engineering, Business Consulting, or finance.

ENVIRONMENT :

Approximately 95% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 5% travel may be required in support of the internship’s responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
